Samir Nasri: 'Chelsea are our biggest threat'

Samir Nasri believes that Chelsea will be the most dangerous opponents for Manchester City in the Premier League title race this season.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has said that Chelsea will pose the biggest threat to his side in the Premier League title race this season.

The Blues are regarded by many as the favourites to win the league, following the big money arrivals of Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis.

Nasri has been impressed by the calibre of players that Jose Mourinho has brought to Stamford Bridge, but he believes that Liverpool and Arsenal in particular will struggle.

"I think Chelsea will be the biggest threat," he told The Guardian. "Fabregas will be the guy to replace Frank Lampard. He is a great player. I know, I was with him at Arsenal.

"They had a weakness up front and signed Diego Costa who had a great season last year. They lost Ashley Cole and they signed Filipe Luis. They have done it really fast as well so the players have spent a lot of time together. They will be really dangerous.

"Liverpool have signed a lot but they have lost a player like (Luis) Suarez and it is really hard to replace a guy like this. Arsenal have bought (Alexis) Sanchez, who is a great player, but to me they have a weakness at defensive mid and at centre-back. But they will be dangerous."

Manchester City will face Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley tomorrow afternoon.
