Jose Mourinho: 'Fernando Torres could face Aston Villa'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that Fernando Torres could be fit to play against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that striker Fernando Torres would be fit to face Aston Villa on Saturday although he may be rested until Tuesday night's clash against Galatasaray.

The Portuguese said that he would make a late decision on whether to select Torres based upon Friday's training session and a talk with the player.

"I don't know on Fernando," BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying. "Maybe I take him tomorrow. Maybe I don't take him and I try everything for Tuesday against Galatasaray.

"It depends on today's training and a conversation afterwards. Yesterday he looked okay. His dedication to the recovery process was brilliant."

Chelsea are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.
