Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has said that he would rather Real Madrid fans 'didn't miss him' after Los Blancos' chequered start to the season.
Real are currently in fourth place in the La Liga table, with Valencia and city rivals Atletico Madrid between themselves and leaders Barcelona.
With only two wins in their last five league games, the Blues player's former club have a fight on their hands to close the eight-point gap to the Blaugrana, and the 25-year-old says that he hopes their season recovers sooner rather than later.
"I don't know if Real Madrid miss me or not, but it's nice that people say that," the Spaniard told TVE.
"I wish, though, that they didn't have to say this, as that would mean things were going well.
"I hope [Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo] scores lots of goals at Real Madrid, although I hope he is tired by the time of the World Cup."
Morata has made 19 appearances in all competitions since moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer, scoring 10 goals and providing four more.
