Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho hits out at 'disrespectful' British media

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho hits out at the British media for not showing him any "respect".

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has accused sections of the British media of being 'disrespectful' towards him.

During this afternoon's press conference, the Portuguese coach was asked about the visit of several South Africa rugby players to Chelsea's Cobham training base.

Mourinho refused to discuss it and instead criticised the press for publishing details about his life away from football.

"You are not going to get any funny headlines out of me," Mourinho told reporters. "I treat you the same way your bosses treat me - no respect. No respect.

"I am not speaking about football. Football I will expect every type of critic, even the stupid ones, [but] private life and stupid things that you bring to the light - I don't like it, so we go to a different level of professional relations."

Earlier this week, a national newspaper alleged that the 52-year-old shoved a teenage boy in a West London street after he spotted the youngster filming him while he was speaking on his phone.
