Chelsea manager Antonio Conte praises Diego Costa after the striker scored his sixth goal of the season - and created another - in their 2-0 win over Hull City.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has praised Diego Costa following his performance in the 2-0 victory over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium this evening.

Costa played a part in both goals as Chelsea returned to winning ways in the Premier League, creating the first for Willian before getting his own name on the scoresheet to seal the victory.

The Spain international now has six goals for the season, but Conte was keen to praise his work ethic as well as his goalscoring prowess.

"It is fantastic for us that he has now got six goals but I think that Diego has the opportunity to score in every game," he told reporters.

"It's important for him not only to score but he is working for the team and for me at the moment this is the most important thing. After two defeats it is never easy so I am pleased with the commitment and attitude of the players. We are working very hard and we see that is is the right way.

"We know we have to improve a lot but if we want to improve there is only one way, to work. All the players worked together very well and when they work together it is easier."

Chelsea's victory takes them up to sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with fifth-placed Arsenal.
