Tony Cascarino: 'Chelsea struggles will continue'

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino claims that the team will struggle to improve in time for next weekend's clash with Arsenal.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has predicted that the team will struggle to turn their form around in time for next weekend's clash with rivals Arsenal.

The defending Premier League champions have won just one match so far this season and lost for the third time in five games as they went down 3-1 to Everton on Saturday.

Cascarino has said that he cannot see Jose Mourinho improving his side's fortunes based on current form.

"I'm not convinced by what I have seen from Chelsea defensively. If you are leaking an average of two goals a game, you are in trouble as a team," he told talkSPORT.

"At the moment, Chelsea are having to score three and maybe even four goals to win a football match. It doesn't feel like Chelsea have got enough to get over Arsenal.

"Arsenal could easily go for the jugular. They have got loads of pace. They have got a poor record [against Chelsea] but it just doesn't feel like a Jose team that we have seen for many years at the moment."

Chelsea and Arsenal meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
