Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic: 'We cannot feel sorry for ourselves'

Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic says that he and his teammates will not feel sorry for themselves as they try to turn their season around.

Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has claimed that he and his teammates need to pick themselves up after suffering their third defeat of the season.

The Premier League champions dropped to 11 points behind leaders Manchester City following a 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

"No-one was kicking off in the dressing room - nothing," Begovic told reporters. "We had to pick ourselves up. There are lots of games to go, we cannot feel sorry for ourselves or points fingers. We will get that good feeling through the squad again.

"We have characters and we will not hang our heads, football is like this and you have your bad spells. We will get it out of our system, kick on and get stronger and stronger as the season goes on."

Chelsea will begin their Champions League campaign this week with a group match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
