Rafael Benitez insists that Chelsea will try to win both domestic cup competitions after beating Southampton 5-1 at St Mary's this afternoon.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has declared that winning both domestic cup competitions will represent a successful season for the Blues.

New signing Demba Ba scored twice on his debut to help Chelsea progress in the FA Cup this afternoon by beating Southampton 5-1 at St Mary's.

Benitez has helped guide the Blues to the semi-finals of the League Cup, with a two-legged tie against Swansea City beginning in midweek.

The Blues boss believes that both chances to win silverware should be taken seriously by everyone at Stamford Bridge.

He said: "I will be delighted if we carry on in both competitions (FA Cup & Capital One) to the end. It means we have done well.

"It is too early to say for the FA Cup but we have a chance."

The cup holders are in the hat for tomorrow's fourth-round draw, which is due to take place at 3.30pm.
