Jose Mourinho 'satisfied' with draw against Galatasaray

Jose Mourinho says that Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Galatasaray in the Champions League is "not a bad result".

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said that he is satisfied with his team's 1-1 draw against Galatasaray in the Champions League this evening.

The Blues took the lead when Fernando Torres poked home in the first half. However, the Turkish club were the better team after the break and equalised through Aurelien Chedjou.

Despite revealing that he is pleased with the result, Mourinho feels that Chelsea could have been more than 1-0 up at half time.

"The first half we had chances to kill game, I am not criticising our strikers but they had chances to do the second goal, and that would have changed the game," Mourinho told BBC Sport.

"In the second half they put pressure on us, they had attacking full-backs and powerful strikers. Fernando Torres and Andre Schurrle were in trouble in the second half, they were a bit exhausted. But we were comfortable, until we conceded at the corner.

"It's better to be 1-1 than 0-0, this result is better than the 0-0 we had in the first minute, it's not a bad result but they are an experienced team with good strikers and we will have work to do."

Galatasaray travel to Stamford Bridge for the second leg on Tuesday, March 18.
