Enrique Cerezo wanted Bayern Munich in final

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says that he would have "preferred" to face Bayern Munich in the final of the Champions League this season.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has admitted that he would have "preferred" to face Bayern Munich in the final of the Champions League this season.

Bayern, who were the holders of the European Cup, were eliminated 5-0 on aggregate by Atletico's capital rivals Real Madrid last night.

Atletico, meanwhile, face Chelsea in the second leg of their semi-final this evening, with the two sides level at 0-0 from the first leg last week.

"I didn't see the Madrid match. I was at the dinner with Chelsea," he told reporters.

"I would have preferred Bayern in the final, because we have unfinished business with them. But Madrid won, and Madrid went through."

Atletico have not lost a single match in the Champions League this season.
