Gabi "certain" Atletico Madrid will progress

Atletico Madrid skipper Gabi backs his side to advance into the final of the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid skipper Gabi is "certain" that his side will advance into the final of the Champions League.

The Spanish outfit, who are on the cusp of winning La Liga, played out a goalless draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final last week.

The second leg takes place at Stamford Bridge this evening and the Spaniard is confident that the capital outfit will progress.

"I'm convinced that the team is ready for these great occasions, they are full of confidence... We know it'll be difficult but I'm certain that the team will be in the final. The team has a high level of conviction and ambition that's rarely seen," he told reporters.

Gabi, however, will miss the match in London due to suspension.
