Team News: Changes in attack for Celtic against St Mirren

Anthony Stokes returns from suspension as Celtic make four changes for their Scottish Premiership trip to St Mirren.

Ronny Deila has recalled Anthony Stokes in one of several changes to Celtic's attack for their Scottish Premiership clash with St Mirren this evening.

The striker missed the 3-0 victory over Dundee United prior to the international break because of suspension.

Kris Commons and James Forrest are also recalled to provide service to the Republic of Ireland international from the flanks.

Adam Matthew is preferred to Efe Ambrose in defence, with John Guidetti, Gary Mackay-Steven and Nir Bitton, who featured prominently for Israel over the last fortnight, all dropping to the bench at St Mirren Park.

The hosts hand a first start to 20-year-old Kieran Sadlier in midfield, while Marc McAusland and Yoann Arquin also return as Sean Kelly, Steven Thompson and Alan Gow are left among the substitutes.

Celtic can go eight points clear of second-placed Aberdeen in the table with victory at the division's bottom side.

St Mirren: Ridgers, Naismith, Tesselaar, McAusland, Genev, Dayton, Mallan, Goodwin, McGinn, Sadlier, Arquin
Subs: Wilks, Reilly, Thompson, Kelly, Gow, Morgan, Sonupe

Celtic: Gordon; Matthews, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Johansen; Forrest, Commons, Armstrong; Stokes
Subs: Zaluska; Ambrose, Bitton, Mackay-Steven, Guidetti, Griffiths, McGregor
