Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell has admitted that he retains a faint hope of being part of the England squad for next year's World Cup in Brazil.
The 26-year-old, who has been blighted by injuries in recent years, won his only previous senior cap for the Three Lions in February 2012.
However, Campbell believes that he has a chance of being selected by Roy Hodgson if he continues to help Cardiff in the Premier League.
"You don't want to think of your own targets and things like that but hopefully if the team do well, then obviously I'll do well and you never know where that might take you," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"Obviously if I manage to get on that plane to Brazil, I'd be delighted. But I can only get there by the team doing well and working hard for the team. Hopefully we can do that."
Campbell has scored three goals in 15 games for Cardiff so far this season.
