Barnsley have signed Burnley defender Kevin Long on a one-month loan deal.
The 25-year-old has recently recovered from a knee ligament injury, which was sustained on his Premier League debut away at Newcastle United in January.
Having now recovered from the long-term layoff, the Irishman has been sent to Barnsley to regain his fitness over the coming weeks.
Speaking to the Tykes' official website, he said: "I'm itching to play. I jumped at the opportunity to come out and play. The gaffer here is a genuine guy and I know one or two of the lads here. It's a good fit for me.
"Even if I didn't know anyone here it's still a big club with good training facilities, it was kind of an easy choice."
Long, who was part of Burnley's first-team squad at Wolverhampton Wanderers prior to the international break, has previously spent time on loan at Accrington Stanley, Rochdale and Portsmouth.
