Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that Danny Ings is only struggling with a "minor" injury ahead of the new Premier League season.
Ings was forced to sit out on Tuesday evening as Burnley held Celta Vigo to a 2-2 draw, but Dyche was keen to play down any suggestions that the striker will be on the treatment table for an extended period as the club prepare for their return to the top flight of English football.
"[There is a] minor injury to Ingsy," the Clarets boss told reporters. "We wanted to make sure he was well so that's why he didn't play.
"Ings has a couple of bumps and bruises - he's got a minor thigh [problem], it hasn't gone and we've got to be really careful.
"It was my decision, I said 'no, no, no'. We haven't got a massive squad, [so] it's really important."
Ings scored 25 in all competitions last season.
