Sean Dyche not putting timescale on Danny Ings injury

Burnley boss Sean Dyche reveals that Danny Ings's hamstring injury is a "straightforward" problem, but refuses to put a timescale on the striker's return.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has refused to name a comeback date for injured striker Danny Ings.

The 22-year-old, who led the scoring charts for the Clarets last season on their return to the Premier League, pulled his hamstring in last weekend's 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.

"It's a straightforward hamstring problem," the Burnley boss told reporters. "We won't put a timescale on it as everyone's body is different and it has to heal properly."

Dyche also confirmed that Matt Taylor will sit out this weekend's visit of Sunderland, while Sam Vokes remains a long-term absentee.
