Half-Time Report: Scoreless at Turf Moor between Burnley, Stoke City

It is goalless at the break between Burnley and Stoke City in their Premier League match at Turf Moor.

Neither Burnley or Stoke City have managed to find a breakthrough in the first half of their Premier League match at Turf Moor as the score remains goalless.

The Clarets had a bright start to the match as Danny Ings weaved his way through the Stoke defence to get into the box, but the striker could only fire his effort straight at Jack Butland.

Burnley pressed again and only two good stops from Butland prevented them from taking the lead as George Boyd teed up Ings, who saw his close-range effort well saved before the keeper sprang to his feet to deny Kieran Trippier on the rebound.

David Jones became the latest player to be denied by Butland as the keeper made a diving save to save the midfielder's left-footed drive from the edge of the area.

Stoke had the chance to make Burnley pay for their missed opportunities as Charlie Adam whipped a dangerous free kick into the box. Jonathan Walters managed to slip between two defenders, but could only direct his header straight at Tom Heaton.
