Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall has insisted that this season's cup competitions are on the club's list of priorities.
The Premier League new boys will take on Hartlepool United at Victoria Park on Wednesday in the second round of the Capital One Cup.
Last season, Eddie Howe's side managed to reach the quarter-finals of the domestic competition, and Tindall is hopeful that the team can go one better.
"It's going to be a tough game - it always is when you go to these teams in the lower leagues," Tindall said in a press conference.
"We've been there ourselves not so long ago. When teams used to come here, we would make it as difficult as possible for them, and I am sure that Hartlepool will do the same.
"The cup competitions are very important. Last year it was fantastic for us, to get the furthest that the club has ever been. This year we'd even like to go one step further."
Bournemouth head into the match on the back of a dramatic 4-3 win over West Ham United in the league.
