Patrick Owomoyela says that he is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund defender Patrick Owomoyela has revealed that he expects to leave the club in the summer.

The 33-year-old has found himself largely out of the side and has missed much of the past year through injury.

Owomoyela, who moved to the Westfalenstadion in 2008, admits that the curtain is likely to close on his time at Dortmund come the end of the season.

"At the moment, it looks like the club is no longer planning with me," Owomoyela told the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper. "But it is fair enough that they don't go out of their way for a player who has been out injured for a year and is now 33."

Owomoyela has 11 caps for Germany.
