Liverpool are reportedly ready to take a second look at Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori as they seek to strengthen their squad this summer.
The Reds were first linked with a move for Ilori two seasons ago, with the 20-year-old forging a reputation as a pacy and versatile defensive starlet.
The London-born Portuguese youth international has played for Sporting's first team this season and is thought to be available for around £1.2m, according to the Daily Mail.
Brendan Rodgers is actively seeking rearguard options to help cushion the blow of Jamie Carragher's retirement and is thought to be considering a cut-price deal to sign Ilori in the close season.
