Hans-Joachim Watzke urges caution over Borussia Dortmund form

Borussia Dortmund chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke urges caution over their recent form ahead of the meeting with Paderborn.

Borussia Dortmund chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke has claimed that it is "too early" to say that the club are over their poor run of domestic form.

BVB lost five consecutive Bundesliga games prior to their 1-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this month.

However, the Dortmund chief believes that their upcoming meeting with Paderborn will provide Jurgen Klopp's side with a stern test.

Watzke told Bild: "It is much too early to talk of a turnaround. This will definitely be close. Paderborn have not got 15 points by doing nothing. Playing against them will be extremely tough.

"My children were born there, and I've lived in Paderborn five-and-a-half years. So it's clear that I have a very close relationship with club and city of Paderborn and mostly keep my fingers crossed [that they will do well]."

Despite their stuttering domestic form, Dortmund have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League after winning all of their Group D games so far.
