Paul Ince blasts "harsh" stadium ban

Blackpool boss Paul Ince claims that his five-match stadium ban is "very, very harsh".

Blackpool manager Paul Ince has described his five-match stadium ban as "very, very harsh".

The 45-year-old was handed the punishment last week after he was found guilty of breaching three rules by the Football Association during the Seasiders' win over Bournemouth back in September.

Ince accidentally hit a female steward in the leg with a water bottle before arguing with the referee.

"I was a bit taken aback, we all were," he told the Blackpool Gazette.

"I felt it was harsh, I really, really did. I knew I was going to be reprimanded in some way but to get a five-game stadium ban is very, very harsh.

"I obviously have to look at myself and curb my temper now and then, but football is a passionate game. You want to win, you want to do well for yourself and you want to do well for your fans."

Blackpool continue their Championship campaign on Saturday when they host Wigan Athletic.
