Blackpool manager Paul Ince given five-match stadium ban

Blackpool manager Paul Ince is given a five-match stadium ban and £4,000 fine by the FA because of an incident at Bournemouth last month.

Blackpool manager Paul Ince has been given a five-match stadium ban and handed a £4,000 fine by the Football Association.

The punishments relate to a Championship game at Bournemouth last month where he was found guilty of breaching three FA rules.

Ince, 45, threw a water bottle in frustration and accidentally hit a female steward in the leg before arguing with the referee.

A statement on the FA's official website read: "Ince appeared before a Regulatory Commission on Monday after he was charged with three breaches of FA Rule E3, which occurred in or around the tunnel following his side's game at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, September 14, 2013.

"The charges were that Ince; used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official; his behaviour towards a match official constituted violent conduct; and that he used threatening words and/or behaviour towards a match official."

A charge against Blackpool assistant Alex Rae for using threatening behaviour towards an official has been dropped.
