Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest forward Ben Brereton.
The 19-year-old is deemed one of the top prospects in the EFL, having impressed last season with his standout display in the FA Cup third-round win over Arsenal.
However, Brereton did not feature for Aitor Karanka's side in the current campaign, which fuelled speculation regarding a switch away from the East Midlands club.
Blackburn have now confirmed that the teenager has moved to Ewood Park on an initial loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer in January.
"A player who combines pace, power and terrific technical ability, Brereton could make his Rovers debut in Sunday's Championship clash with Bristol City and will wear the number 19 shirt during his time at Ewood Park," the club confirmed in a statement.
Brereton scored six goals in 39 appearances for Forest last season.
