Gary Bowyer: 'Blackburn Rovers won't underestimate MK Dons'

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer insists that his side will head to Stadium MK this weekend full of belief, but will not underestimate an out-of-sorts MK Dons side.

Gary Bowyer has told his Blackburn Rovers players that they cannot afford to write off MK Dons ahead of their meeting this weekend.

The Dons are outside of the relegation zone on goal difference alone, having failed to win any of their last seven league games.

Despite their opponents' lack of form, Blackburn boss Bowyer knows how unpredictable the Championship can be and is keen to see his side up their own performance levels in order to climb into the top half of the division.

"The message that will be delivered to the players is not to underestimate MK Dons," he told the club's official website. "Like we've said before, there is no easy game in the Championship. If you let any team in this division do what they want to do then they are going to hurt you.

"So it is up to us to make sure that we go with the right mindset, full of confidence and belief, and go and perform to the levels that we have been doing and more.

"I believe there is more to come from this group and the demands will be placed on them to try and do that again. It is all about us and how we apply ourselves against MK Dons."

Fifteenth-placed Rovers have gone four matches without defeat in the second tier, but have yet to win back-to-back games this term.
