The 19-year-old is currently in the middle of a second stint on loan at Conference side Lincoln City, where he has scored twice in 11 appearances this season.
His current contract is due to expire in the summer.
Adams made his one and only senior Birmingham appearance a little over a year ago in last season's FA Cup tie with Bristol Rovers.
