Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has revealed that defender Jonathan Spector will appear for the club's development squad on Monday.
Spector has been absent since suffering a torn thigh muscle in October, but Clark is hopeful that the American defender could return to the first-team squad next weekend.
The 41-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "Jonathan was never scheduled to be available for this weekend, even though he is training with the group.
"He will play on Monday, in the development game, which was always the course of action, and then he will hopefully be available for Blackpool next weekend, if he comes through that unscathed."
Spector has made 87 appearances for the Blues since joining the club from West Ham United in 2011.
