Scottish League Two roundup: Arbroath continue run with Clyde win

Sports Mole rounds up the Scottish League Two action as Arbroath continue their unbeaten run at the top of the table.

Arbroath have continued their unbeaten run at the top of Scottish League Two with a 5-2 win over Clyde.

Arbroath took the lead after 25 minutes through Paul McManus, but Clyde had their tails up when Brian McQueen was sent off three minutes later and Arbroath were pegged back immediately after Scott Ferguson levelled for Clyde. Scott McBride restored the lead two minutes later but Ferguson equalised again on the stroke of half time. A Dylan Carreiro brace and Simon Murray's goal in the second half completed the scoring with 12 minutes remaining.

Berwick held Albion Rovers to a 1-1 draw to give the league leaders some breathing space. Paul Currie opened the scoring on 15 minutes for Berwick but Mark McGuigan's goal moments before half time earned a share of the spoils for the visitors.

East Fife rescued a point in the final moments at home against Queen's Park after Liam Smith's 82nd-minute equaliser. The hosts took the lead through Caolan McAleer on 14 minutes but Darren Miller and Paul Woods scored for Queen's Park to turn the game on its head until Smith's late goal.

Jordan Brown's 64th-minute goal for Annan Athletic was enough to earn a 1-0 victory at East Stirlingshire.

A fiery affair at Elgin City saw nine yellow cards presented, but just one goal as Paul Watson's 71st-minute strike won the match for Montrose.

Results in full: Clyde 2-5 Arbroath, Berwick 1-1 Albion Rovers, East Fife 2-2 Queen's Park, East Stirlingshire 0-1 Annan Athletic, Elgin City 0-1 Montrose
