Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has revealed that he rejected the chance to sign for Juventus during the summer of 2012.
Having confirmed the interest in his services from the Old Lady, the Dutch international went on to insist that he never intended to leave the Allianz Arena.
"Turning down Juventus had nothing to do with Juve. I was feeling very well at Bayern, just like now. That is why the transfer never happened," Robben told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Juventus are a fantastic club and it is always an honour when a major club like that shows an interest in signing you. I've been pretty straightforward with Juventus. I texted them to say that I felt honoured, but wanted to stay at Bayern. They responded by saying that the door would always be open for me."
Robben's current contract with Bayern is due to expire in 2015.
