Xherdan Shaqiri will start for Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga clash with Mainz at the Allianz Arena this afternoon.

Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri retains his place in Bayern Munich's starting lineup as he will feature on the wings against Mainz in the Bundesliga this afternoon.

The summer signing will have Thomas Muller and Toni Kroos alongside him in attacking midfield, with Luiz Gustavo and Bastian Schweinsteiger deployed as the two defensive-minded midfielders for the home side.

Mario Mandzukic will be the main forward for the Bavarians giants, and he will be up against Zdenek Pospech, Nikolce Noveski, Radoslav Zabavnik and Niko Bungert in the Mainz defence.

Maxim Choupo-Moting and Nicolai Muller will lead the visitors' attack at the Allianz Arena.
