Team News: Injury-hit Bayern Munich welcome back Philipp Lahm for Borussia Dortmund clash

Philipp Lahm makes his first start in five months, but Bayern Munich are without Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and David Alaba for their showdown with Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern Munich are without injured trio Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and David Alaba for their Bundesliga showdown with rivals Borussia Dortmund tonight.

However, the Bavarians are able to name captain Philipp Lahm in their starting lineup for their first time in five months after his recovery from a broken ankle.

Robert Lewandowski makes his first return to the Westfalenstadion since leaving Dortmund for Bayern in the summer, spearheading a defensive-minded side which includes only Thomas Muller as recognised attacking support.

Mats Hummels leads out Dortmund following a week of intense speculation linking him with Manchester United. Reported Bayern target Marco Reus also starts as the hosts make three changes from the side that beat Hannover.

Marcel Schmelzer, Kevin Kampl and Sven Bender are recalled in place of Sebastian Kehl, Oliver Kirch and Shinji Kagawa as Jurgen Klopp's men seek to light up a disappointing season which sees them languishing in 10th in the table, 31 points behind leaders Munich.

Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Sokratis, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer; Gundogan, Bender; Blaszczykowski, Reus, Kampl; Aubameyang
Subs: Langerak, Dudziak, Ginter, Kehl, Mkhitaryan, Kagawa, Ramos

Bayern: Neuer; Rafinha; Dante, Benatia, Boateng, Bernat; Alonso, Lahm, Schweinsteiger; Muller, Lewandowski
Subs: Reina, Thiago, Pizarro, Gaudino, Gotze, Rode, Weiser
