Peter Ramage excited by Barnsley switch

Peter Ramage reveals that he is "raring to go" after leaving Crystal Palace for Barnsley on a season-long loan deal.

Peter Ramage has revealed that he is "raring to go" after joining Barnsley from Crystal Palace on a season-long loan deal.

The 29-year-old defender penned a temporary deal with the Championship club on transfer deadline day.

"I'm really excited," Ramage told the club's official website. "I've never had much success here in terms of results, but hopefully now I'm on the home side that continues for the opposition!

"I'm not going to tear up any trees with flicks and thrills and skills. I'm hard-working, wear my heart on my sleeve and give 100% both on and off the pitch. I'm fit, ready and raring to go."

Barnsley return to Championship action on September 14 when they travel to Nottingham Forest.
