Barcelona B defender Alex Grimaldo reportedly turned down the chance to join Levante on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window.
Earlier this week, the 20-year-old revealed that he 'has no relationship' with Barcelona's first-team manager Luis Enrique, fuelling suggestions that he will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Grimaldo's comments seem to hint that has been forgotten by Enrique at Camp Nou, but according to Sport, the left-back could have secured regular football with Levante this season.
The same report claims that Grimaldo was not prepared to ply his trade elsewhere and will now look to depart at the end of his contract.
Grimaldo has made more than 70 appearances for Barcelona's second team.
