Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly request Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti if they allow the Catalan giants to sign Neymar.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Samuel Umtiti as their priority option if they allow Neymar to rejoin Barcelona.

The Brazilian attacker was absent from the start of pre-season training on Monday amid speculation that he is looking to secure a second spell at the La Liga champions.

PSG sporting director Leonardo has revealed that Barcelona have already instigated informal discussions regarding the attacker.

However, there are currently doubts over how Barcelona may fund a move for the 27-year-old, who left for Parc des Princes in a world-record deal back in 2017.

According to reports in Spain, PSG have made it known that they will accept a lower fee providing that they are able to sign centre-back Umtiti.

The France international is not regarded as first choice at Camp Nou, which has resulted in Ernesto Valverde being open to parting ways with the player.
