Everton to make move for Barcelona's Sergi Roberto?

Everton are hopeful of signing Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto, according to a report.

Everton are reportedly looking to sign Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.

The 23-year-old has been out of favour in recent seasons, and it is thought that he has been told that he is free to find another club this summer.

Roberto graduated from Barca's youth academy before going on to make his senior debut in 2011.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is said to be an admirer of the Spaniard and has tried to sign him previously during the past two years.

According to Sport, Martinez has asked Everton to make contact with Barca in an attempt to sign Roberto permanently or on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.

Roberto has scored four goals in 46 appearances since making his debut for Barca in 2011.
