Barcelona have reportedly identified former player Thiago Alcantara as a potential transfer target.
Since leaving Camp Nou for Bayern in 2013, Thiago has contributed 27 goals from 210 appearances in all competitions.
However, according to Bild, the 28-year-old is unhappy with life at the Allianz Arena, which has seemingly led to interest from his ex-club.
While Bayern are said to be keen on agreeing a new contract with the playmaker, it is claimed that there is little chance of fresh terms being penned in the future.
With Thiago having just over 18 months remaining on his existing deal, it leaves Bayern in a position where they must consider their stance over a player who remains a frequent member of the starting lineup.
Barcelona will likely have to make player sales before being able to fund an approach for their academy graduate.
