Luis Enrique: 'Gerard Pique, Marc Bartra both important'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique hands a vote of confidence to both Gerard Pique and Marc Bartra.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has insisted that Gerard Pique and Marc Bartra are both important parts of his plans this season.

Pique has been hit with injury in the early part of the campaign, while Bartra has struggled for minutes due to the form of Jeremy Mathieu and Javier Mascherano.

However, Enrique has insisted that both will be given chances in the weeks ahead.

"Pique's attitude is great, he's optimistic, working hard. His hip problem has been solved, he's ready to help us," he told reporters.

"Bartra will have playing time. I'm delighted to have him, but only 18 players can be in the squad and only 11 can play."

Barcelona have scored 11 times without reply in the league this season.
