Barcelona have revealed that defender Eric Garcia will be absent for around five weeks due to injury.
The former Manchester City youngster was named in the starting lineup for the 1-1 draw with Granada on Saturday night before being replaced by Clement Lenglet in the 54th minute.
Garcia appeared to have tweaked his hamstring during the encounter, and Barcelona have now confirmed that the 21-year-old will be sidelined for around a month with the issue.
A statement on fcbarcelona.com read: "Tests carried out on first-team player Eric Garcia this morning confirmed a right hamstring injury. He is likely to be sidelined for around five weeks. The Barca defender left the field after 54 minutes of the game in Granada, being replaced by Clement Lenglet."
Garcia has remained a key player for La Blaugrana since the arrival of Xavi and has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, including 15 starts in La Liga.
The Spain international joins Martin Braithwaite and Sergi Roberto on the sidelines, while Ferran Torres, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Ansu Fati and Ronald Araujo are all doubts for Wednesday's Spanish Super Cup semi-final with Real Madrid.
