Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

Barcelona will complete their Champions League group-stage campaign with a trip to Inter Milan on Tuesday night.

Ernesto Valverde's side have already booked their spot in the knockout round of the competition as Group F winners, having picked up 11 points from their five fixtures to date.

Barca will bring a six-game winning run into the contest, meanwhile, having continued their fine form with a 5-2 win over Mallorca on Saturday night.

The club's attention will now switch to the Champions League, although changes to the starting XI are expected ahead of key La Liga fixtures against Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the match.

Jordi Alba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Jordi Alba, who has had more than his fair share of injury problems this season, picked up a muscular problem against Slavia Prague at the start of November and has been on the sidelines since. The left-back is seemingly facing a battle to return to action before the winter break in Spain kicks in.

Nelson Semedo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Nelson Semedo is unlikely to feature until 2020 after picking up a calf problem against Celta Vigo in November. As a result, Sergi Roberto is again expected to start on the right side of the back four, although Moussa Wague is another option in that area of the field.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ousmane Dembele was forced off in the first half of the recent Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund after picking up a hamstring injury. The France international, who continues to struggle for fitness at Camp Nou, is not expected to return to action until February.

Arthur

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: December 10 (vs. Inter)

Brazilian midfielder Arthur has not officially been ruled out of Tuesday's contest, but the 23-year-old missed out against Mallorca at the weekend due to an adductor problem and remains a major doubt for this match.

Ansu Fati

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 9 (vs. Inter)

With Valverde expected to shuffle his pack on Tuesday, Ansu Fati would have been in line to feature at San Siro. The 17-year-old was absent from the squad against Mallorca due to a knee problem, though, and the teenager faces a battle to be involved on Tuesday night.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no suspension concerns heading into the European clash.
