Santos president Modesto Roma Junior has revealed that Atletico Madrid have failed in a bid for the club's left-back Zeca.
Zeca, 21, has been strongly linked with a move to Spain in recent weeks and it is understood that Atletico submitted an offer in the region of £6m for the Brazilian earlier this week.
However, Junior has claimed that neither Santos nor the player himself was interested in the proposal.
"There was a proposal. I said no and the player said no. When the two who are involved do not want it, there is no business. He stays for the Brazilian championship," Junior told ESPN.
Zeca, who came through the youth system at Santos, has made two appearances for Brazil's Under-23 team.
