Angel Correa and Fernando Torres scored the goals as Atletico Madrid beat Eibar 2-0 in La Liga on Saturday evening.

Correa opened the scoring in the 62nd minute - less than one minute after entering as a substitute - before the Argentine set up Torres for the away side's second.

The result has moved Atletico into second position in the table, while Eibar have dropped one place to sixth.

Goal

Asier Riesgo: Made a couple of really smart saves - including a super stop to deny Filipe Luis early in the second period. That said, might feel that he should have done better with the opening goal. (6/10)

Defence

Ander Capa: One of Eibar's better performers on the night. Was somewhat surprisingly deployed in a right-back position, but took to the position well as he put in a strong and energetic display. (7/10)

Mauro dos Santos: Had a comfortable first period as Eibar coped with the threat of Jackson Martinez and Luciano Vietto, but Fernando Torres caused him problems in the second 45 minutes. (6/10)

Ivan Ramis: Ultimately part of a defence that conceded two goals, but the centre-back must be praised for a good performance. Made a number of excellent clearances and well-timed tackles. (7/10)

Antonio Luna: Like Capa on the opposite side, was more than prepared to break forward and his presence caused Atletico problems. Did not complete the match after picking up a late injury. (7/10)

Midfield

Keko: Would have been a special night for the 23-year-old against his hometown club and the midfielder can be pleased with his performance, which was full of quality. (7/10)

Gonzalo Escalante: Was never afraid to shirk the physical battle in the middle of the park, but the Argentine took a couple of heavy challenges late on and was booked before being subbed. (6/10)

Adrian Gonzalez: Slightly fortunate to escape a booking following a couple of tasty challenges. Neat and tidy for the most part until he was replaced for the final 20 minutes. (6/10)

Dani Garcia: Picked up the game's first yellow card for a poor challenge on Gabi. Had a couple of long-range attempts in the first period, but he could not really influence the match. (6/10)

Saul Berjon: Showed good movement in spells and helped set up a couple of shooting chances for his teammates. Struggled to make a serious impression, however, and was replaced in the 71st minute. (6/10)

Attack

Sergi Enrich: Difficult night for the Spaniard, who had the tough task of leading the line. Only had one strike on goal and his long-range attempt did not cause Jan Oblak much of a problem. (6/10)

Substitutes

Simone Verdi: Replaced Berjon for the final 20 minutes, but the on-loan AC Milan attacker struggled to make an impact during a period where Atletico were in control of the game. (6/10)

Borja Baston: Was bizarrely eligible to face his parent club, having joined on loan from Atletico in the summer. It would have made a good story, but his overall contribution was minimal. (6/10)

Mikel Arruabarrena: Hardly saw the ball in the final 10 minutes. (6/10)

ATLETICO

Goal

Jan Oblak: Had his feet up for long spells of the contest. Was strong when called into action, but it was not a busy night for the stopper, who continues to impress for Atletico between the sticks. (6/10)

Defence

Juanfran: A late mix-up with Oblak almost cost his team a goal, but the right-back had the pace to escape a tricky situation. Not one of his better games going forward truth be told. (6/10)

Diego Godin: Will have much harder tests this season, but the centre-back, as expected, was prepared to put his body on the line and made a number of important clearances. (7/10)

Jose Gimenez: Has firmly established himself as Godin's central defensive partner this season and the 20-year-old again had a strong night. Few strikers will get the better of him physically. (7/10)

Filipe Luis: Came close to opening the scoring in the early stages of the second period, but his low strike was deflected into the arms of Riesgo. Got up and down the left all evening. (7/10)

Midfield

Koke: Tired performance from the Spaniard, who was far from his best. Well short of his own high standards from set pieces and it was not a surprise when he was subbed just past the hour. (6/10)

Tiago: Fortunate to escape a yellow card for a poor challenge on Escalante in the second period, but still performed an important role for the capital outfit with his calmness and composure. (6/10)

Gabi: Professional rather than spectacular performance from the skipper, who improved in the second period following a lacklustre first. Still an important player for Atletico. (6/10)

Attack

Luciano Vietto: Looked dangerous when he had the opportunity to use his speed, but Eibar's deep line made it difficult for the Argentine. Was replaced by Oliver Torres at the break. (6/10)

Jackson Martinez: Had a couple of excellent chances in the first period, but could not add to his one league goal for the season. Somewhat surprisingly was also changed at the interval. (6/10)

Antoine Griezmann: Could not continue his excellent run of scoring form, but the Frenchman was once again a serious threat. Set up most of his team's best opportunities in the first half. (7/10)

Substitutes

Fernando Torres: Man-of-the-match performance off the bench from Torres, who set up Correa for the opener before scoring the second himself. Eibar could not live with his pace and movement. (8/10)

Oliver Torres: Once again showed why he was recalled from Porto this summer. Glided through the Eibar team in the second half and was also a key contributor to the three points. (7/10)

Angel Correa: Has had to wait for his time to shine, but the Argentine looks set to play a key role this season. Scored less than 60 seconds after entering, before setting up Fernando Torres for the second. (8/10)
