Atletico Madrid turn it round to beat Porto

Goals from Arda Turan and Diego Godin cancelled out Jackson Martinez's opener to give Atletico Madrid a 2-1 win over Porto.

Atletico Madrid fought back from a goal down to beat Porto at Estadio do Dragao in the Champions League this evening.

Goals from Diego Godin and a later winner from Arda Turan cancelled out Jackson Martinez's first-half opener.

Diego Simeone's side started sluggishly and it was Colombian forward Martinez who held off Godin's challenge to stoop low to give the home side the lead after 15 minutes.

Godin atoned for his error just before the hour mark when he nodded into an empty net following a mistake from Porto goalkeeper Helton.

Turkish playmaker Turan then grabbed the winner four minutes from time when he smashed home from the edge of the box after a well-worked free kick from the travelling Atleti.
