Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna is reportedly wanted by a second Championship club as Aston Villa have joined Hull City in making their interest known.
The Tigers are rumoured to have already had three bids rejected for the 21-year-old, the latest of which totalled more than £700,000.
According to The Sun, Villa boss Steve Bruce has been monitoring the situation and is now preparing an offer of his own before the transfer window closes.
McKenna is said to have impressed the Villans' watching scouts of late and the Scotland Under-21s ace is now wanted to shore up the promotion chasers' backline.
However, it is claimed that Hull have not yet given up hope and intend to also return with another bid, with boss Nigel Adkins in attendance for Aberdeen's 2-0 loss to Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
