Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood: 'More signings unlikely'

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood suggests that he will not be signing any more players during the transfer window.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has suggested that the club's business in the current transfer window is over.

The Villans have spent around £50m on recruiting 10 new faces this summer.

Having made big changes to his squad in recent weeks, Sherwood admits that further signings are unlikely.

"I wouldn't have thought we will be doing too much," he told the club's official website. "The chairman has backed us and brought in a lot of new players. It was needed - we needed change. If there's anything that can improve us, we will be in the market."

Villa are in action tonight when they host Notts County in the second round of the League Cup.
