Christian Benteke scores on Aston Villa return

Christian Benteke scores from the penalty spot upon his return to action with Aston Villa's Under-21 team.

Christian Benteke stepped up his recovery from an Achilles injury by scoring for Aston Villa's Under-21 side this afternoon.

The 23-year-old had been sidelined with the problem, which prevented him from representing Belgium at this summer's World Cup in Brazil, since April.

However, the centre-forward started against Bolton Wanderers earlier today and found the net from the penalty spot before he was substituted in the 63rd minute.

Joe Cole also scored, while Shay Given, Jores Okore and Jack Grealish all featured in the 3-0 win.
