Report: Thomas Ince to leave Blackpool this month

Thomas Ince is expected to follow his sacked father Paul out of Blackpool this month after he was omitted from new manager Barry Ferguson's first matchday squad.

Winger Thomas Ince seems likely to follow his dad out of Blackpool this month after being left out of Barry Ferguson's Tangerines squad.

Paul Ince was sacked via text message by Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston last week and midfielder Ferguson has been promoted to the position of caretaker manager.

He did not include Thomas in the Seasiders' 18-man squad for their 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday and the Daily Mail reports that his omission signals the end of Ince junior's time at the club.

The 21-year-old, who rejected Cardiff City last summer, has long been linked with a move away from Bloomfield Road and was expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Although there have been no formal bids yet, it is now anticipated that he will depart in this transfer window, with Monaco and Swansea City believed to be leading the race for his signature.
