Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly considering a shock summer bid for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling.
The 20-year-old's contract negotiations with the Reds have stalled recently, with the England international believed to have turned down a new £180,000-a-week deal to remain at Anfield.
According to The Mirror, Wenger is a long-term admirer of the attacker and will look to take advantage of the breakdown in talks between Sterling and Liverpool.
Sterling's current contract situation is also thought to have alerted both Real Madrid and Manchester City, who are expected to table a substantial bid to test the Merseyside club's resolve.
The youngster revealed that he is aiming to start for Liverpool against Arsenal next weekend, despite pulling out of the England squad through injury.
