Crystal Palace are reportedly targeting a move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, who is valued by the Gunners at £20m but the Eagles are hopeful of reducing that sum.

Crystal Palace have reportedly set their sights on signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah and believe they can seal a deal for £12m.

The England Under-21 international featured 17 times in the Premier League for Mikel Arteta's side last season but has been absent from the matchday squads at the beginning of this campaign.

Arsenal are said to demand around £20m for Nketiah, but according to The Sun, Palace are confident they can reduce that sum given that his contract at the Emirates is due to expire next summer.

Former Gunners midfielder Patrick Vieira is expected to face competition from Brighton & Hove Albion for Nketiah's signature, but the Eagles are planning to bring in another forward in addition to Nketiah.

It is reported that Crystal Palace have registered their interest in Celtic's Odsonne Edouard by placing a £15m bid on the table, and the South London outfit hope they can land both Nketiah and Edouard before Tuesday's deadline.

Nketiah progressed from Arsenal's youth system when he made his first-team debut in 2017, and he has gone on to score 13 goals in 65 appearances for the club.
