Mohamed Elneny completes Arsenal switch

Premier League leaders Arsenal complete the signing of Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny from Swiss outfit Basel.

Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny has finalised his switch to Arsenal.

Following last night's 3-3 draw away at Liverpool, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the 23-year-old had all but agreed his switch from Basel to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have now confirmed Elneny's arrival for an undisclosed fee, subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Elneny, who represented his country at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, scored six goals from his 28 appearances for Basel during the first half of the season.
