Alexis Sanchez may feature at Stoke City

Having been absent since late November with a hamstring problem, Arsene Wenger reveals that Alexis Sanchez could turn out for Arsenal at Stoke City on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that Alexis Sanchez may be included in the Arsenal squad for Sunday's trip to Stoke City.

The Chilean attacker has been out of action since the end of November with a hamstring injury.

However, providing that the 27-year-old can come through a fitness test, Wenger has not ruled out the possibility of him returning to action at the Britannia Stadium.

"I will be cautious now. There is an opportunity that he will be in the squad for Sunday," the Arsenal boss told reporters.

"He will have a definite test on Saturday and Friday and Saturday will be two important days for him. It is not impossible that he will be involved."

Sanchez has scored six goals from his 13 Premier League outings this season.
